Let’s talk about something uncomfortable for a moment, k? Something I’m sure I’ll be judged for. Something I’m sure I’ll be called a religious fanatic for. That’s ok. I’m gonna share anyway, because I care about sharing the truth of Christ.

The other day I came across a Facebook post of a local business in my area preparing to package sage for sale. I shook my head in heartbreak and could only imagine some of the innocent people who are going to show up and buy that sage with the purpose of “getting rid of negative energy” in their homes. I say innocent, because some know what they’re doing and some truly don’t.

That’s why I have to speak up about it – for those who don’t.

I ran across this sermon from Jamal Bryant, who preached on this subject after some women from the church gifted him with sage for a new home he’d just purchased.

Please understand how serious this is, friends. Please understand that when you’re burning sage aka smudging in your home in the sense that he’s discussing, you’re putting yourself into dangerous spiritual territory.

“Satan is cunning because he is a deceiver. Isn’t it amazing that we’ve got throngs of our friends who will burn it, who will practice it, who will utilize it but if you talk about casting out demons they call you spooky or you’re too spiritual? They don’t want you to cast out demons but want you to push away spirits. I’m pushing them away, I’m not killing them. The role of those of us who are in the body of Christ and traffic in the supernatural is not to give Satan and his imps a restraining order, we’re supposed to give him a death sentence.”

I encourage you to watch the video at the end of this article. If you’d rather, you can just watch the video right here:

I’d love to hear your thoughts. We’re also discussing it in my Winning at Warfare Facebook Group. Feel free to come on over and join.
