I’ve been inspired by Alece to find that one word that will sum up my 2011. I am so over making New Year’s Resolutions, because I have learned that every day is a new day for a new resolution.
How could I sum up 2010 with one word? Restored
Restored means to return to its original or usable and functioning condition; return to life; give or bring back; restore by replacing a part or putting together what is torn or broken. That exactly what happened in 2010 – God put back together what was broken.
With that said, my One Word for 2011 is:
TRUTH
sincerity in action, character, and utterance.
In 2011 I want to…
Speak truth to the broken about who they are in Christ
Speak truth to those who don’t yet know the love of Jesus Christ
Speak the truth of God’s Word
Hear and be receptive to the truth of others
Believe the truth of the plans God has for me
Let my actions speak truth, not just my words
Lead in truth
Follow the truth
“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32
What’s your One Word for 2011?
Triumph!!!!!
The LORD will march out like a champion, like a warrior he will stir up his zeal; with a shout he will raise the battle cry and will triumph over his enemies.
Isaiah 42:12-14
But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere.
2 Corinthians 2:13
because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
James 2:12-14
They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings—and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers.”
Revelation 17:13-15
I am hollering amen in my soul on your Restoration and Truth.
I believe the WORD I am hearing is INTENTIONAL. Thanks to my friend Haelie Heard for posting that it was her word so that God could begin to use it in my life.
Great word, Sundi Jo. Mine is Vulnerability. It’s going to be an awesome year!
LOVE that word. That word was never allowed in my vocabulary. Thrilled about what God has done in my life regarding it. Great pick!
TRUTH. i love your word. it is so much easier for me to believe the lies on repeat in my mind than the truth of His Word. something’s gotta give!
You’re right! Something’s gotta give. It’s not an easy task, but I’m committed to hearing, believing, applying, and speaking TRUTH! Thanks for the inspiration to do so.
