Obedience isn’t easy. If it were, everyone would do it, right? But obedience isn’t always easy. It is simple though. And easy and simple are not the same things. And it’s certainly not comfortable.
Choosing health isn’t always comfortable. Choosing not to eat through our emotions when we’ve had a hard day isn’t comfortable. Choosing to get vulnerable with our hearts isn’t comfortable.
When God is calling us to be obedient to a specific area of our life, or maybe a specific action He’s calling us to take, it’s highly unlikely that it’s going to be comfortable, right?
But nowhere in the Bible did God say that our lives were meant to be lived comfortably. No, God says our lives were meant to be lived in obedience.
We’re talking about the importance of obedience in today’s episode. What in the world does peanut butter have to do with that? You’ll just have to listen to find out.
