Do you know?
How hard it is to believe that I can trust people?
How difficult it is to believe that not every man I meet is out to get me?
How hard it is to initiate conversation with someone of the opposite sex?
How hard it is to believe that God has created someone to love me for me?
But….
I’m doing it afraid because NOTHING is impossible with God and I’m so thankful I can hold onto His promises.
Your turn. What promise are you holding onto today?
Romans 8:1–“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus…”
I’m my own worst critic, and the Enemy knows it. Today, I’m holding on to the Truth.
I’m my own worst critic too. Thanks for sharing that truth with me. I’ll continue to hold onto to it with you Jessica!
I hold on to all the promises in the Bible. Not because no one has ever hurt me. Not because I have never been disappointed. Rather because of Hebrews 11:6 where it talks about faith in God. If we believe in Him why not believe in all that He has said?
My parents were married til death so I have that as a model. I prefer the examples from scripture starting with Adam & Eve. God is no respecter of persons. As He made Eve for & from Adam so He still creates partners for marriage.
Ruth & Boaz, Issac & Rebecca, Mary & Joseph, Esther to Ahasuerus, Hanna & Elkanah, Moses & Zipporah, Abraham & Sarah all these couples and many more have tales of how God orchestrated them getting together.
God does not ask introverts to become extroverts at their core. He uses the way we are made to help us get all that He wants us to get out of life. I am out going but there is no one I need to be talking to in my sphere so I don’t date or anything like that.
When someone interesting comes along I have confidence that things will just progress naturally.
I am glad you are growing and healing it can only do you good. I know you have endured much. Our futures will be bright!
Great truth T. Thanks for sharing!
