What Are You Allowing Others to Speak Into Your Life?

What Are You Allowing Others to Speak Into Your Life?

Ready for some startling truth?

You become like the five people you spend the most time with. Yep.. read that one more time.

You become like the FIVE people you spend the most time with.

It’s no shocker we’re living in a crazy world surrounded by things that well, just seem to get crazier. What and who we allow into our lives is more vital, I believe, now more than ever.

Warning One Another

Warning One Another

How much time do we take to step outside of our comfort zone and warn those who are stepping outside of their identities in Christ? Do we warn those we love or do we allow fear of rejection to get in the way?

When we sit passively by and watch our brothers and sisters in Christ doing things that are going to hurt themselves and their relationship with Christ, we are not helping them, we are hurting them.

Please listen to my heart when I say this… We have to stop being passive.

Doing it Afraid

Doing it Afraid

For the last several years I’ve picked one word to define my year. From rest to warfare, it’s been an important part of my life.

This year I’m changing things up a bit. This time the Lord has put a phrase on my heart. I’m sharing it via video this time.

At the Feet of Jesus

At the Feet of Jesus

There are two words I want you to hear today. I want you to repeat them out loud over and over again. Everything hinges on these two words. And when I say everything I mean EVERYTHING about our freedom.

But Jesus….

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.

My HelloFresh Review (Seasoned Beef Tacos)

I thought I’d give Hello Fresh a try and so far, I’m pretty pleased. I recorded my first experience (Seasoned Beef Tacos). Yuuummmmyyyy. So far.. So good..

My only complaint is that I wish the ingredients were organic and the meat grass-fed without any antibiotics. Perhaps they’ll be working this into their plan.

It took me 20 minutes like the ingredient card said, and I had more than enough left over for my lunch.

I didn’t use the sugar recommended in the recipe, but I didn’t need it. With the white wine vinegar in the vegetables, it was plenty sweet and tart for me.

If I were married, my husband would be one happy man. P.S. I’m currently accepting applications for a husband.

Two thumbs up from me! Excuse me while I go make dinner.

#coffeewithsj episode 10: the power of journaling through Scripture.

Do you personalize Scripture and apply it to your every day life? There’s so much power in breaking down a Bible verse and making it personal specifically for you.
I’m sharing with you how I process through Scripture and apply it to my every day life.

Thanks for joining me for #coffeewithsj episode 10: the power of journaling through Scripture. Below are the links I shared in today’s show:
