I have a small clock in my living room that my friend Cindy gave me when I moved back to Belle to pursue ministry. It was a reminder that God redeems the time. It doesn’t work, but it’s one of my most valued treasures I have because I can’t look at without being reminded of redemption.
As I look at the clock this morning I’m reminded that perhaps sometimes God stops the time for a brief moment so we don’t miss the miracle that just took place right in front of our very eyes. Eyes that have seen pain and brokenness and rejection and hatred and fear and heartbreak.
Ah yes.. and then suddenly time stops and none of those things matter. And the clock says, “Shh… I’m stopping for a millisecond because God is going to do a thing. Don’t miss it!”
And in that millisecond of time the world around us stops, God smiles and our eyes see forgiveness and compassion and grace and mercy and hope and faith and healed hearts.
This picture is a reminder of all of the above. To most of the world, you just see two sets of hands, but to the Woolley family it’s so much more. In the last 16 days I have watched the clock stop for our family. And I have seen time redeemed.
I have cut the rest of the picture out because not all parts of the story are mine to tell.

As I write this, Cody Carnes is singing “Too Good To Not Believe.” I hear “Don’t you tell me He can’t do it” coming through the speaker of my iPhone, followed by “We’ve seen families reunited, we’ve seen prodigals return.”
And my heart soaks up those words because just as the Israelites watched God part the red sea so they could be free from their bondage, I watched a red sea in our family be parted by a grace-filled, merciful God.
The enemies of the Israelites drowned in their desperate efforts to keep control of them. And before my very own eyes and in my own heart, I’ve watched the enemies of bitterness and rejection and fear and hatred be drowned.
One of my favorite passages of Scripture is Joel 2:25. “The Lord says, ‘I will give you back what you lost to the swarming locusts, the hopping locusts, the stripping locusts, and the cutting locusts.'”
In the last 16 days I have watched God restore what the locusts have eaten in our family. Oh, I wish you could’ve been there to see it. I still can’t fully wrap my head around it myself.
I have this reminder on my wall that says, “God can restore what is broken and change it into something amazing. All you need is Faith.” Yes! God CAN restore. He CAN change things.
This picture is proof.
My friend Mitch used to ask me when I’d tell a crazy story about my family, “What chapter of the book will this be in?” I don’t know the answer to that yet, but this chapter…. this chapter is full of gritty redemption, that despite all the words I’ve already written this morning, I still don’t seem to have the words to explain it.
The two sets of hands in this picture are proof that God truly is the redeemer of time. These two sets of hands are proof that despite what the locusts have tried to destroy, restoration is possible. The two sets of hands in this picture are proof that LOVE covers a multitude of sins. Proof that God can bring revival to any heart willing to allow Him in.
Yes, I think I am convinced that God has stopped time in the last 16 days, even if it was only for a millisecond. Because in that millisecond, He has REDEEMED THE TIME!
“Watch out! Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven. 2 When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites do—blowing trumpets in the synagogues and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! I tell you the truth, they have received all the reward they will ever get. 3 But when you give to someone in need, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. 4 Give your gifts in private, and your Father, who sees everything, will reward you. – Matthew 6:1-4 NLT
This is a powerful statement, isn’t it, straight from the mouth of Jesus?
A friend was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and I felt led to write these decrees to pray over her. If she needs them, I know others do, so I thought I’d share.
Jesus told us that we – me and you – the church – could pray with authority in His name. Remember that as you declare these truths over your situation or that of a friend or family member.
Remember, Jesus tell us we could pray with authority in His name!
Below you will find a prayer I wrote, with decrees and declarations included, specifically targeted for pancreatic cancer. Speak them out multiple times/day if you need to. Actually, I recommend it.
Perhaps decreeing God’s Word is a new concept for you. Remember this… Jesus said that if you are a believer, He has given you “the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven.” (Matthew 16:19)
May these decrees bring healing over pancreatic cancer and show you just how powerful our God is. Download the free pdf below and speak these words out multiple times/day.
Prayers and Decrees for Healing of Pancreatic Cancer
Jehovah Rapha, you are the God who heals. I thank you that you have created me for a purpose – a purpose bigger than I’ll ever fully know. Thank you that you call me daughter/son and have set a table for me in the presence of my enemies. (Psalm 23:5)
The enemy has come to steal, kill, and destroy me with pancreatic cancer, but you, Jesus, have come to give me life, and give it to me abundantly. (John 10:10)In the name of Jesus, I decree and declare that:
My pancreas releases the perfect amount of enzymes for digestion and that it produces the perfect amount of hormones to perfectly manage my blood sugar.
My pancreas absorbs nutrients perfectly, just as God intended it to.
My liver function and bilirubin count are perfect, just as God is perfect.
I was amazed after doing a search for how to pray for adrenal fatigue, that I didn’t find much. What I did find happened to be prayers to the universe begging for healing. That broke my heart because I know people are desperate enough when battling adrenal fatigue that they will often pray anything to feel better.
But isn’t there a better way? Didn’t Jesus tell us we could pray with authority in His name?
After my third exposure to black mold in 2015, my adrenals were shot. My thyroid was hanging on by a limb. And my liver, well.. it was so confused, in the words of Dolly Parton’s character, Truvy, in Steel Magnolias, “he didn’t know whether to scratch his watch or wind his butt.”
I’ll save you all the details, but let’s just say that it’s been a journey. God has done some miraculous healing in my body.
Over the last month I’ve been battling with some adrenal fatigue again. I’m still working on trying to figure out what the root cause is. I’m taking supplements and working on getting myself on a diet that will honor my body and help restore and heal my adrenal glands.
But.. there’s been something missing. I haven’t been decreeing the Word of God over myself like I should. I’m great at reminding others they need to, but how quickly I can forget to do it for myself.
So, I sat down to find some Scriptures and prayers I could pray over myself, but I only found meditation practices, prayer ideas, and prayers to the universe.
Instead of waiting for someone else to provide the prayers and decrees, I dug in and decided to create my own. But I know I’m not the only one battling adrenal fatigue, so I wanted to share with you, too.
Below you will find a prayer I wrote, with decrees and declarations included, specifically targeted for adrenal fatigue. You can even print it so you’ll have easy access to speak these out over yourself daily, even multiple times/day if necessary.
The keys represent authority. Jesus has given YOU authority, my friend, to tell the darkness to flee. He has given YOU authority to send the enemy back to the dry places where he belongs. Jesus has given YOU the authority to speak the Word of God and change the world around you, including your own personal world. Jesus wins!
May these decrees bring healing to your adrenal glands and show you just how powerful our God is.

Last month my friend Jenster asked me if I wanted to go on vacation. “Of course,” I said. She wanted to go to the beach, so I started looking around at some different options.
A couple weeks later she reached out and said, “I think the Lord is telling us to go to Paris, TX.” Um… okay? I learned a long time ago that if the Lord is telling Jennifer to do something, it’s better to listen.
She sent me a picture of the cabin she found and I didn’t need to see anything besides the rocking chair on the front porch. “Sounds like a plan to me.”
For every three people attacking you with their words, make sure you have one person who is speaking life to you.
If you have 21 people spewing hate at you, that sucks. BUT… that means you have 7 people who are for you, speaking words of love over you.
MAKE SURE YOU’RE LISTENING TO THE RIGHT PEOPLE.
Words matter. Choose love.
But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. And among all the parts of the body, the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself. People can tame all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and fish, but no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison. Sometimes it praises our Lord and Father, and sometimes it curses those who have been made in the image of God. And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Surely, my brothers and sisters, this is not right! – James 3:5-11
