I’m taking 40 to a new level.
In September 2023, I will say goodbye to a chapter of my life and start a new season. I’ll say goodbye to my 30s and welcome my 40s with open arms.
Okay, so maybe you’re thinking, “Geez, Sundi Jo. I know you get excited about your birthday, but nine months from now? Do we really need to start talking about it already?”
Yes, but not for reasons you think.
More and more each year, I realize just how much I want to live with intention. I don’t want to live life with regrets.
I want to love and serve well. I want to share Jesus, show, and tell others about the freedom He has given me.
I want to keep living out the instructions Jesus left – love, serve, and tell people about me.
I’m headed to Bosnia.
So, as I approach 40, the Lord has given me the green light to head to Bosnia on September 6, 2023, the day after my 40th birthday!
What better way to start a new trip around the sun, and a new decade, than heading to the nations to share Jesus?
What’s happening in Bosnia?
On this trip (September 6-16, 2023), we will have the opportunity to reach out to the homeless and Bosnian gypsy families – the Romas.
Being marginalized in society, the Romas are generally paid less than half the salary a non-Roma worker would receive.
Reports show that the Romas are sometimes forced to pay bribes to receive proper medical treatment.
Many children in large Romani families suffer from malnutrition, which affects their overall health and ability to study.
With winter upon them, many of them will not have adequate clothing to keep them from freezing.
We will work with partner ministries in these communities, bringing the hope of the Gospel along with much-needed medical care, medicines, food, supplies, and winter clothing. Oh… and hopefully, some music, too. (More to come on that later).
I’ll be traveling with World Missions Alliance. This will be my third trip with them. I traveled with WMA to Thailand in 2018 and to Moldovia in 2014. Their headquarters are actually located here in the Branson area.
How can you help?
I would be grateful for both your prayer and financial support as I embark on this trip. The first step is to pay the deposit, and the trip must be paid in full by July 2023. I can’t wait to see what God does through this trip and through those who sew into it.
