About the Role
Sundi Jo, an Americana and Roots recording artist, seeks a motivated and organized Booking Manager to secure live performances, manage scheduling, and communicate with venues and event organizers. This role is ideal for someone passionate about the music industry. Experience in booking and logistics preferred, but will train the right person.
Responsibilities:
- Research and identify potential venues, festivals, churches, and private event opportunities for live performances.
- Proactively pitch and secure bookings that align with Sundi Jo’s brand and audience.
- Negotiate performance fees, travel accommodations, and contracts.
- Maintain and update a booking calendar, ensuring no conflicts with existing commitments.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for venues, event organizers, and promoters.
- Coordinate logistics, including travel, lodging, and technical requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with booking agents, festival coordinators, and industry professionals.
- Track deposits, contracts, and payments, ensuring all financial details are recorded.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in booking and managing live performances for artists preferred but not required. Will train the right person.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Familiarity with the Americana, Christian/Gospel, and Country music markets is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and follow up persistently.
- Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Calendar) and CRM tools.
- Experience with tour routing, budgeting, and travel logistics is a bonus.
Compensation:
- Commission-based (percentage of secured performance fees) with potential for a base retainer.
