“If you get down and quarrel everyday, you’re saying prayers to the devil, I say.”
The words of Bob Marley himself. If you would have told me that someday I would have written a blog about the Jamaican singer, I would have told you you were crazy. Never say never.
I recently decided I needed to cheer a friend up. I was trying to think of songs and immediately, “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” popped into my head. Youtube here we come. I know Bobby McFerrin did the original, but it was Mr. Marley I found on Youtube. I found myself listening to the song over 20 times, head bobbing, dancing in the kitchen, whistling right along. What a philosophy to live by huh?
Don’t Worry, Be Happy
(Bob head to the right while reading)
Bob says, “Here’s a little song I wrote, you might want to sing it note for note.”
I think he’s onto something. I could not make myself be in a bad mood listening to the song. Even ditching my car, I did what Bob would do. I got happy. Think about it next time you start to get cranky.
GET HAPPY!
