Let me preface this prayer with this. I’m not interested in your judgment or ridicule as to why I’m publicly praying for John Crist and not the brave women who came forward. I’m not interested in a debate. I’m simply being obedient to what the Lord is calling me to do and remember that you have no idea what I’m praying behind closed doors. Thank you.
In light of yesterday’s tragic news, my prayer…
Lord, I put John in your hands. You long to deliver your children out of the ashes and John is in the ashes. Pull him out. Restore him to wholeness. Not because he deserves it, but because you love him. None of us deserve to be pulled out of the ashes.
I pray for humility. Keep his heart in such a humble place that the only name that comes from his mouth is yours. Draw his soul back to you – back to your peace, your strength, your forgiveness, your hope, your mercy.
Just as you brought Nebuchadnezzar down to nothing in order to restore him back to something, you covered him with a stump to protect him. May John let you heal every broken part of him so that he once again grow strong roots that lead back to you.
Continue to bring the darkness to light in his life. No more secrets. Where your light shines, darkness cannot exist. May he allow You to expose every dark area of his heart so he can truly be set free. Not half free. But truly free.
I speak against addiction in the name of Jesus. I speak against witchcraft in the name of Jesus. I speak against perversion in the name of Jesus. Whom the Son sets free is free indeed. Invade John’s heart and set him free in the mighty name of Jesus!
Shut the mouths of the lions who come to devour him. Loosen the stones from the hands who prepare to throw them. Oh, Lord, that we all check our hearts and repent before you for the darkness we’re holding onto. Yes… Shine your light on all of our darkness so that we may all be set free.
Draw John near to you with a repentant heart. Place people around him who will lift him up, hold him accountable, and lead him closer to you. Bring deliverance to his soul, for you are the only one who can truly set him free.
I say all this in the mighty, powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
